If You’re Thinking Of Dressing As A Tampon For Halloween, We Can Help.

by All Maxim Hygiene

Dressing as a tampon for Halloween can be a lighthearted way to show your support for the menstrual movement.

Here’s a quick costume guide:

1. The Base

Start with a white body suit or white clothing to represent the tampon’s cotton. We’re going for the pure look.

2. Logo

Create or print out a logo that mimics any mainstream tampon brand. Better yet, if your name’s Nicholas, Nicole, or some variation of Nick you may plunge into pun territory and label yourself as “Orga-NICK” (get it?) Attach it to your chest, because you’re all about natural, chemical-free, and safe absorbency.

3. Applicator

If your tampon costume has an applicator, you may construct one out of cardboard or foam to mimic the shape of a tampon. Paint it with neutral colors and attach it to your side, because you’re eco-friendly and easy to insert. If you want to go for the plastic applicator look, be sure to write the words “BPA-Free” somewhere. We’d hate for it to turn into a true nightmare.

4. Tampon String

Extend a string or ribbon from the back of your costume like a tail. Make sure it’s noticeable but not too long to avoid tripping over it.

5. Blood, if You Dare

Dab some red paint on the white areas of the costume to mimic blood. No one enjoys removing a dry tampon.

6. Tampon Talk

Throughout the night, drop some tampon-related puns like “I’m feeling bloody good tonight” or ominous ones like “I’m here to absorb all the Halloween fun.” (yikes)

7. Confidence

Most importantly, strut your stuff with confidence. You’re a symbol of natural feminine hygiene, and you’re not afraid to show it.
