What Is Love?

“LOVE” was one of the subjects that made me amazed and curious throughout my life. LOVE is a Godly and spiritual Phenomenon that all humanity and life have been built upon.

Somewhere I read the following paragraph about Love:

“Love is a game” he said. “Love is a puzzle” she said.
“Love is attraction based on mere sexual desire” he said. “Love is passion, devotion, and tenderness” she said.
“Love is hate turned inside out” he said. “Love is kindness, forgiveness, and tolerance” she said.
“Love is something your parents did to you” he said. “Love is something you do” she said.
“Love is a mean practical joke” he said. “Love is the only reality” she said.
“Love is a tease” I say.

Tell love to leave me alone.

As part of my curiosity, I asked my close friends who are married to answer my following question: “Please take a moment of silence, close your eyes, touch deep down into your heart, think about your life partner, and share with me what LOVE means to you”. With a great surprise only a few of them answered and those answers were the following:

i) As for the topic of love! What I have learned is love is truth and the none-verbal communication of the soul. Love is both boundless and transformative at any moment in space and time. It can never be denied and in my opinion the only pathway to fulfill the souls needs during our human lifetime and in part, to prepare us for our departure from this human experience. Often I think love is the why our souls keep coming back. The desire to feel and learn again, to grow and to share. Like a ripple touches all sides of a lake, I am certain that even the smallest notion and thought enveloped in love or action, touches every corner of the planet. In fact, I like to believe love is infinite and never dissipates atomically. In dealing with people, I believe both the micro and macro carry an equal delivery. Love is disarming of even the strongest of forces, it’s where we find our deepest form of power to navigate the material or secular world.
ii) I don’t feel safe to participate. I’m not sure if you’re comfortable with hearing my real feelings.
iii) I hope one day you find your answers and stop asking yourself and others around you. Maybe the day you start appreciating what you have, you’ll understand the meaning of Love.
iv) It maybe just little hard for you to receive or accepting love from your friends and family, then you will stop searching for Love. Just think about it. IS IT YOUR MIND OR YOUR HEART BLOCKING THE LOVE AROUND YOU? With much LOVE for you.
v) Thank you for being the loving person that you are, and keeping us in check! In my opinion, “Love” is “Giving”. “True Love” is “Unconditional Giving “. “Ultimate Love” is “Giving Unconditionally, and yet feeling the Bliss and the Joy of Giving”! “Ultimate love” allows us to overcome our self-centeredness, our selfishness, our comfort zone, and explore self growth! May we continue to grow, and grow young together!
vi) I believe love is something that is created. It starts within you and it’s something you can choose to cultivate to people and the world. The more you are able to cultivate, the more it comes back to you as well. I also once heard that others can only love you as much as you love yourself which really stayed with me.
vii) Love is everything. Life is based on Love. Creation is based on Love. Our movements are out of Love. With Love, She and He become as one or one soul in two bodies. Real Love cause enjoyment of life. If the Love is not there, it will be darkness.

My interpretation of LOVE is between two adult individuals who mutually share and show the following toward one another:
