What if we told you there was a book that could help you regulate your periods, clear up your skin, lose weight, alleviate PMS symptoms, have an easier time getting pregnant, have better moods, and better sex?
I know, I know..You’re thinking that if there was already something like that, you would have heard about it or you’d be commenting below that you’ve been using and reading that book since you turned 16..or whenever it came out.
Alisa Vitti, our Fierce Woman for Maxim Hygiene this December, is also the founder of FloLiving and the author of Woman Code, the unicorn-bestseller of all women’s issues/ self help books. WomanCode teaches women to connect the dots between their symptoms, biochemistry, and food. Why is she our Fierce Woman closing out 2013? Because she helps every woman find strength inside herself. At Maxim Hygiene, we believe our empowerment comes from within and that women can do make whatever change they wish to see — Alisa is leading by example.
Woman Code details Alisa’s five-step “brain-to-ovaries” health coaching program, which allows women to work in harmony with their body’s natural rhythms, minimize the impact of toxins in the environment, support endocrine function, and tap into the powerhouse of feminine energy that your women’s bodies store.
Alisa is an integrative nutritionist who teaches women how to use their hormonal and neurochemical patterns to create extraordinary lives. She has been featured on The Dr. Oz Show, Shape, The Huffington Post, and has a popular TEDx talk called “Loving Your Lady Parts” – something we all certainly need to do. We had the chance to sit down with her and ask her a few questions; here is her wisdom.
1.) At Maxim Hygiene, we define a fierce woman as a “glorious female creature whose idea of beauty is hinged upon the idea that she can change the world with each choice.” Who in your life is a Fierce Woman and why?
“In my eyes, every woman that has graduated from our WomanCode Hormonal Sync Program is a fierce woman! She learns how to value her feminine form and use it as a tool for success, rather than a liability. This, in turn, changes her contribution to the world, giving her the courage to make choices with her body, rather than against it or in spite of it. With their fierce, confident relationship with their bodies, my grads start seeing what they want and making it happen. You can start this journey now by engaging with supportive women in your life, like the ones in our online community.”
2.) What was the hardest part in your journey to creating the WomanCode? What were the highest and lowest points?
“After having my own company for 12 years, what I do know for sure is that it’s always a roller coaster, and this is part of the journey. Within a given day there are so many things that come up, challenges to be solved, and victories to celebrate. The lesson I’ve learned from living through so many highs and low is twofold: 1.) Practice celebrating the good. This can so easily fall to the wayside, but is so important to remember. 2.) Remind yourself that there is nothing you can’t get through. The mantra that I live by is: “Life works out better than you plan it”. What you can perceive as a high or low in the moment is always part of a bigger plan.”
3.) If you could give women everywhere, life advice in one or two sentences, what would it be? What does Womancode help women do, other than take control of their health?
“Your body is telling you where to be and what to do in the exact right moment if you only listen and follow it. Deepen your relationship with your body and practice trust.
WomanCode can help you tap into the power of your neurohormonal system. Not only can you learn to be healthier, but also how to get more done with less stress, while becoming leader and a change agent in your own life. Trying to be a powerful women without your body as a foundation is like trying to walk over the grand canyon without a bridge. I don’t see how you are going to get there without it.”
Spoken like a true Fierce Woman! With the success of her book, Alisa is working on creating additional ways of educating women about their health. Her focus has primarily been food, but as we know well at Maxim Hygiene, it’s not only what you put in your mouth that gets easily absorbed in to your body!
Coming soon in 2014 Alisa will be publishing a list of “WomanCode Approved” products that she endorses and recommends as excellent complements to the already proven and raved about women’s health secrets published in the WomanCode. You can sign up here to be the first to know about this list and learn more about the FLOLiving philosophy. Here’s one secret we can unveil to you already — Maxim Hygiene is honored to be one of the first WomanCode Approved Organic and Natural Chlorine Free Feminine Hygiene product lines to be added to the list.
